You may recall that, earlier this year, Yate Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council consulted local residents and children about what they would like to see developed on the Millside open space.
Many ideas and suggestions were received and proposals for the site have now been drawn up. We are now consulting local residents on what they think. Please take a look at Millside Open Space Consultation (site plan and key) and Millside Open Space Consultation (section drawings).
If the works go ahead, they will be paid for through a £20,000 lottery grant which has been received and can only be spent on this site, although we have flexibility on how we spend it at Millside.
At present, this site (apart from the existing play area) is owned and maintained by South Gloucestershire Council. As part of this project, Yate Town Council will take on a lease for the site and maintain it in the future.
The views of local residents are very important, so please have a look at the proposals and let us know what you think. We are open to whether the proposals go ahead at all, or in a different form – so it is important people respond.
Your views are welcome until 30th September 2010.

We would be very grateful if you could answer a few questions at the back of the Brinsham Fields Consultation leaflet.
