The new NHS Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) in Yate opened on Tuesday 22 June, 2010. The MIU is a drop-in service, has an X-ray facility and will be open seven days a week, including bank holidays.
The MIU can treat:
- sports injuries
- broken fingers, arms and legs
- cuts and bruises
- sprains and strains
- bites - animal, insect and human
- broken noses and nose bleeds
- minor burns and scalds
- eye problems, such as removing foreign bodies.
Opening Times
- Monday to Friday from 8am - 8pm
- Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 2pm
Location of MIU
The Minor Injuries Unit is in the Yate West Gate Centre, next to Yate Library, West Walk, Yate, BS37 4AX.
