There are a variety of things to do in Yate, such as the annual Community Music Festival and plenty of other things for children such as an Easter Egg Hunt. Below you can find out what events are taking place and when, so get involved and find out what Yate has to offer.
Ladies - it's time to have a clear out of those wardrobes! We've all bought things in the past that we've never worn, and now's the time to swap them for something that you'll love to wear! It's also the perfect opportunity to swap those unwanted Christmas prezzies too. Come along to help raise funds for the Ndejje Village School in Uganda. For those of you who haven't been to a clothes swap/swish before, here's a little bit more information: - Every person must bring at least one item (up to a maximum of 5) and it must be clean and in good condition - As well as clothes, items can include accessories, shoes, handbags and belts. Please NO underwear or swimwear for reasons of hygiene - There will be a point system in place for items that are brought along to swap - Browse the clothes on offer, try them on and make your selections up to the value of your awarded points. You will also be able to buy extra points on the day if you wish! - Doors open for check-in at 2pm. The swish begins at 3pm and last ticket admittance is 2.45pm Any unswapped items at the end of the swish will be donated to a local charity shop. Tickets cost £4 in advance and can be purchased by visiting the website below. Alternatively, the ticket price on the door will be £5. All tickets include refreshments. There will also be the opportunity to order products from Avon, and 10% of all sales on the day will be donated.
