Kingsgate Park, Yate
Yate Town Council took over the management of Kingsgate Park in 2003. There are six entrances that lead into Kingsgate Park; by Stanshawes Court Hotel, through Sundridge Park, through Kenilworth, from Scott Way and two through Sunningdale.
The park has a lake, which is home to a variety of wildlife including the Greater Crested newt; a protected species. Part of the lake is kept clear and used by the Model Boat Club for model boat racing.
The Kingsgate Park Play area has been recently upgraded and houses state of the art equipment for children up to 12 years of age.
Friends of Kingsgate Park
In 2003, the Friends of Kingsgate Park Group was formed by Yate Town Council. The Friends Group is made up of local people who use and take interest in the park. The group continues to develop and seek new members.
The Friends of Kingsgate Park group is currently consulting on some proposed changes within the park. Please download the Kingsgate Park Consultation leaflet and let us have your views.
