Since its inception, approximately 10,000 people per year have passed through its doors from all parts of the country and also from overseas.
Around half of the visitors to the Tourist Information Centre are local, requiring a variety of information. Many people want bus timetables, accommodation leaflets and information on local places to visit. They also want to know what’s on in the local area and where they can purchase tickets for events.
The Centre offers a wide selection of leaflets on places open to the public, local walks, cycle routes, coach trips and craft fairs.
The Tourist Information Centre has a website - www.chippingsodburytic.com and also has a Facebook page "Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre".
The centre can be contacted on 01454 326336.
How was the Tourist Information Centre established?
The Centre came into being through generous donations from Yate Town Council, Dodington Parish Council and Sodbury Town Council and covers all three areas, being known as the Three Parishes Tourism Group. The Tourist Information Centre continues to be supported by these councils.
