Friends of Yate Station
Do you have something to say about Yate Station and the surrounding area? If so, you may be interested in joining the 'Friends of Yate Station' group which was formed on 6 October 2008.
The group is for interested residents and users of the station and offers a chance to meet and discuss any issues.
Group Meetings
Meetings are held quarterly at Poole Court, Yate, and are attended by members from Yate Town Council, South Gloucestershire Council, Severnside Community Rail Partnership, First Great Western, local residents and Yate Station users.
Issues discussed so far have included:
- Train overcrowding
- Reduced rolling stock
- Fare evasion/evaders
- Maintaining ticket sales
- New timetabling
- Communication
- Bicycle storage/security
- Platform development
- Ticket Machine usability
- Revised bus provision
- Vehicle access/parking
Delays, Overcrowding, Cancellations...
If your train is delayed, cancelled, overcrowded or simply doesn't exist at a time that suits you, First Great Western would like to hear from you.
Please visit the First Great Western website where you will find contact details for sending feedback. They'll use your information to revise timetables.
