Mayor's Message
Councillor Martin Monk was elected as Mayor of Yate and Chair of Yate Town Council at the Annual Town Council Meeting held on 17 May 2011.
Councillor Monk has served as a Yate Town Councillor since May 2003 and is very proud and honoured to be elected Mayor of Yate.
He said that his aspiration during his tenure is to encourage as many young people as possible to become involved in the Council and he hoped that all members of the Town Council will help him to achieve this.
Councillor Sue Walker was elected as Vice-Chair of Yate Town Council.
The Mayor of Yate is pleased to present awards, open ceremonies or deliver flowers to couples living in the parish of Yate, celebrating their Golden or Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The Mayor would be delighted to make a significant event even more special.
