In conjunction with Dodington, Sodbury and Westerleigh Parish and Town Councils, Yate Town Council operates a Youth Forum Steering Group to discuss issues relating to youths and youth provision in our area.
Giving Young People a Voice
In addition to the Steering Group, YDC URSAY is an organisation specifically for young people, which enables them to gain access to the local decision making process. Yate Town Council actively and financially supports this group, which is dedicated to giving young people a voice.
Youth Unlimited
South Gloucestershire's Youth Forum have developed a new website and discussion forum aimed at young people aged between 13-19 living in South Gloucestershire. The site aims to promote positive activities for young people and help them to find essential local services. The site has a management group made up of young people from across the area who will aim to keep the site secure, active and up to date. Check it out at www.youthunltd.com.
